European Solvency II law, 2020 edition released

It is widely acknowledged as the single source for legislation, technical standards and guidelines regarding Solvency II.This fully revised fourth edition of the European Solvency II law book includes all the amendments that have been made to the Directive and accompanying legislation during the past few years.

The publication contains the complete Solvency II primary source material:

  • the coordinated Solvency II Framework Directive;
  • the coordinated implementing measures (the Delegated Regulation, the Implementing Regulations, the Equivalence Decisions);
  • the EIOPA Guidelines;

as well as the coordinated EIOPA Regulation.
As a bonus, the coordinated Regulation on Sustainability‐related Disclosures in the financial services sector is also included.
Lieve Lowet has been involved in the Solvency II project since its early stages in various capacities. As head of Schuman European Affairs, she specializes in insurance matters, with specific knowledge of Solvency II. She holds a law degree and a B.A. in philosophy from K.U. Leuven, and an M.A. in International Affairs from the Johns Hopkins University, SAIS Europe at Bologna.
